Celebrate Valentine's Day at Salt & Iron

Love is in the air, as Salt & Iron prepares for its first Valentine's Day dinner on Sunday, February 14.  Chef de Cuisine Alex Marek has created a romantic 4-course prix fixe dinner, including optional wine pairings and champagne toasts. The cost is $89/person or $159/couple, and reservations are required.

 

1st course

Oysters* - Pacific, Shigoku, Kumamoto oysters, lemon, frozen champagne mignonette

Hamachi*  - Salt & pepper seared Hamachi, frisee, fried capers, shallots, balsamic reduction, micro greens

 Charcuterie - Zoes meats salami de cacao, cabernet salami, Manchego curls, house made pickles, Como crisps

 Beet Salad - Roasted red & golden beets, arugula, goat cheese, shallots, pistachios, raspberries, balsamic vinaigrette

 2nd Course

Risotto Cakes - Oven crisped mushrooms, Grana Padano, risotto cakes, sage & brown butter sauce, micro greens  

 Scallops* - Seared jumbo scallops, asparagus puree, crispy speck

Bone Marrow  - Herb roasted beef bones, balsamic reduction, red sea salt, grilled Como

Lobster Bisque - Creamy seafood broth, brandy, aromatics, cold water lobster, herbed oil

3rd Course

Seafood Medley  - Steamed clams, mussels, Hamachi, shrimp, tomato fennel broth, octopus, roasted red potatoes, grilled fennel, grilled Como loaf 

Pork Chop* - Two 6oz bone-in all natural pork chops, red wine demi-glace, mushroom risotto, crispy onions, watermelon radish salad

Filet Mignon & Shrimp* - Two 4oz medallions topped with grilled shrimp, herb butter, garlic smashed potatoes, maple bacon brussel sprouts

Root Vegetables - Herb roasted turnips, carrots, parsnips, red potatoes, red onions, grape tomatoes, garlic & shallot sautéed greens, stone ground mustard & wine reduction               

4th Course

Rose Pot de Crème  - Rose infused chocolate pot de crème, candied rose petals, vanilla bean chantilly, honey tuile  

White Chocolate & Raspberry  - White chocolate mousse, raspberry gelee, chiffon cake, chocolate ganache, raspberry coulis, fresh raspberries

Caramel Affogato - D’Ambrosia salted caramel gelato, middle fork espresso, white chocolate & chocolate straw
